The grid of 2019
Hi addicted fans!
So here is the full grid:
I think this is the only season (since I watch it) when the Hungarian GP will be held after my birthday π
It was a quick report from me π
As a lot of you already know, the 2019 driver line-up is complete! π
Some of the drivers had to leave F1, some of them signed a contract with their dream team and we have new drivers from lower categories like F2.
Daniel Ricciardo signed a deal with Renault (alongside Nico HΓΌlkenberg) and after this move, a few drivers had chances to get his seat in the Red Bull. However I was sure that Pierre'll get the opportunity to prove as Max Verstappen's teammate.
Lewis signed a contract with Mercedes, so was Valtteri, which means they'll be teammates again for at least one year. Rumours says the Merc is considering to give a seat for Esteban Ocon in 2020 alongside Lewis.
Sebastian had signed the contract last year until the end of 2020. However the Ferrari named Charles Leclerc as his teammate, which gave Kimi no chances than leaving the team and moves to Sauber.
Kevin Magnussen and also Romain Grosjean stayed where they were.
Both of the McLaren drivers' (Stoffel Vandoorne and Fernando Alonso) left F1, Carlos Sainz moved to McLaren and got Stoffel's seat. His teammate will be Lando Norris who was the third driver of the McLaren before.
I wasn't surprised when the Force India announced Lance Stroll as Sergio Perez's teammate. As I mentioned before, he's not my favourite, so I'm curious how this change will affect his performance.
Daniil Kyvat joined F1 for the third time, I have no idea why Toro Rosso is decided to sign him up again, but I'll wish him luck for the next season, I hope he had learnt from his mistakes. His teammate will be Alexander Albon about who I know nothing actually. If someone has interesting news and facts about him, please let me know and share them with me π

Antonio Giovinazzi will be racing as a Sauber driver alongside Kimi Raikkonen. His debut in F1 wasn't that convincing, unfortunately he crashed a few cars, but I have no doupt that he'll be better this time, and I'm curious what he can do as Kimi's teammate.
Williams will be racing with two new drivers as well. After a long break, Robert Kubica is returning to F1, hardcore fans already know him and remember vividly his crash during the Canadian GP in 2007. His teammate for next year will be George Russell, who become the champion of F2.
The FIA have officially comfirmed the 2019 Formula 1 calendar.
As you can see the whole season will start sooner than before and will end in December.I think this is the only season (since I watch it) when the Hungarian GP will be held after my birthday π

Stay tuned, I hope this week I'll have enough time beside work to write another post for you guys. π

The only interesting fact I know about Alexander Albon is that he got dropped by the Red Bull junior programme in 2016 or 2017 and then got signed back in and then given a seat at Toro Rosso
ReplyDeleteWhy am I not surprised? Helmut Marco likes this kind of situations... :@
